Privacy Policy

CoinTrue: Value & Melt Scan ("the App") is published by Bulpara Inc ("we", "us", "our"). This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the App.
1. Coin Photos & Identification
- Your coin photos never leave your device. Coin recognition runs on-device using a model bundled inside the App.
- The App does not upload, transmit, or store your coin photos on our servers. We have no servers that hold your images or identification results.
- Photos and identification results live in the App's sandbox on your iPhone, and are removed when you delete a coin or delete the App.
- If you choose to export a PDF report or share a coin via the iOS share sheet (Messages, Mail, Files, etc.), you control where it goes — we do not see it.
2. Data We Store Locally
- Your catalog: Coin attributes (country, year, mint, denomination, metal, composition), estimated value ranges, melt values, photos, condition notes, and purchase price. Stored locally via SwiftData.
- Value history: Snapshots of each coin's value as spot prices refresh, kept on-device to build history charts.
- Preferences: Theme, default settings, and notification choices.
- Daily scan counter: A local counter that resets each day to enforce the free-tier scan limit. No counter data is transmitted off-device.
- Purchase status: Subscription state is managed by Apple's StoreKit and cached locally for feature gating.
3. Permissions We Request
- Camera: Only when you scan a coin. We do not capture images in the background or while the App is closed.
- Photo Library (read-only): Only when you choose to import an existing coin photo. We access only the photo you select via the iOS photo picker — we do not enumerate your library.
- Notifications (optional): Used only to alert you when silver or gold spot prices move enough to be worth re-checking your collection's value. You can disable them in iOS Settings at any time.
4. Metal Spot Prices
To estimate melt value, the App uses metal spot prices. These may be bundled with the App or refreshed from a public market-data source. Any such request fetches public pricing only — it never includes your coin photos, your catalog, or any information that identifies you or your device's contents.
5. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store / StoreKit: Manages subscriptions and purchases. Governed by Apple's privacy policy.
- Google AdMob (free tier only): Displays banner and interstitial ads to free-tier users and may collect device and advertising identifiers and usage data for ad personalization, subject to your consent choice. Your coin photos and identification results are never shared with AdMob. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Premium subscribers see no ads and trigger no AdMob requests.
6. Data Storage and Security
- All coin photos, catalog data, value history, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
- No coin photos, identification results, or catalog contents are transmitted to or stored on our servers. We have no servers that hold your coin data.
- Purchase verification uses Apple's secure StoreKit framework.
- The App's core scanning, valuation, and catalog features work offline.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your coin photos or catalog with any third party. On the free tier, AdMob may collect device-level data for ad personalization subject to your consent; your coin content is excluded.
8. Your Rights
You can:
- Delete individual coins (and their photos) from your catalog inside the App
- Delete the App to remove all local photos, catalog data, history, and preferences
- Disable Notifications, Camera, and Photo Library permissions from iOS Settings at any time
- Adjust your ad-personalization consent on the free tier

9. Children's Privacy
The App is rated 4+ and is not intended to collect personal data from children under 13. Because the App stores coin data only on-device, this is enforced by design.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
